AB1624 MUSCULOSKELETAL PROBLEMS IN YOUNG DOCTORS

Background Musculoskeletal problems (MSP) represent a major problem in the general population and also occupational settings. Young interns residents medicine are exposed to different types of physical constraints (e.g., working long hours, lifting carrying heavy objects, repetitive movements, etc.), which may lead musculoskeletal disorders. Objectives Evaluate MSP University Hospitals Sfax, Tunisia. Methods We conducted study during month January 2023 using Nordic questionnaire screen MSPs. The was self-administrated evaluated along with MSPs on sociodemographic characteristics perceived work strain measured borg scale. Results Our consisted 147 residents. sex ratio 0.48 mean age 25.41±2.12. Most participants were 1st-year (53.7% 19.7% respectively). Smokers represented 5.4% total population. Body Mass index 22.77± 3.7 20.8 % presented as overweight or obese. Among participants, 6.1% had priors Sixty young doctors (40.8%) reported practising regular leisure activity 3.76+-2.99 hours per week. 6.75± 2.32. Fifty-eight individuals (39.5%) having past year twenty-four (16.3%) Neck pain most frequent complaint (37.9%) followed by back (24.13% for upper 22.4% lower back). higher associated more previous week (p<0.01) complaints year(p<0.01). BMI not presence Smoking tobacco seemed be protective factor against neck (p=0.016). Conclusion Exposure is often underdiagnosed.
